Robert Blair, son of John Blair and
Margaret McLuckie was the first Blair in this line
to emmigrate to America. In 1785 he and his wife
Margaret McLuckie settled in Barnet Vermont.
From 1786 through 1818, Robert and Margaret
received 30 letters from family and friends back in
Scotland. These letters were preserved by the
Vermont Historical Society. We have digital copies
of these letters and are in the process of
transcribing them.
