    • 1998 Notes from Mavis Winchester, Goshen Gore (Stannard):
      Grandmother's father moved from Morgan VT to Stannard with 4 children, Mavis's grandmother the eldest, as his wife had died. If it hadn't been for Etta Blair the family would have starved. The grandfather- Cargille - went off to sell grain and left the children behind.
